Approximately 40 pilots attended an FAA Safety seminar held June 21, 2006, at Lawrence Airport. The seminar was sponsored by Four Star Aviation and the Hawk Flying Club. Jack Keenan, Boston FSDO Safety Program Manager for the FAA, made a 90-minute presentation on avoiding loss of control airplane accidents. The safety seminars are part of a voluntary continuing education process for pilots interested in keeping their flying skills in top shape. The Hawk Flying Club is based at Lawrence Airport and provides inexpensive flying for its members.
