A big heartfelt thanks to those members that showed up for our annual plane wash. Christiano, Aaron, past fearless leader Eric & his son, new members Rick Delisio & Bill Sanchez, Gordon, Loren & his wife Sue, Egbert, and yours truly did an outstanding job spiffing up the old birds and making them look "almost" new! They all enjoyed a great meal of lobster tails and filet mingon (although they looked a lot like burgers and dogs).
Hopefully we'll see more activity in the aircraft with our new members and clean airplanes. I encourage members to share with others interesting destinations and $100 hamburger runs they've made to hopefully generate some interest in more flying. I recently flew up to Auburn Lewiston airport in Maine on Memorial Day. The last time I was there, the restaurant on the field served a lobster roll and Pepsi for $5.95! I don't know if the price is still the same as they were closed on Mondays but there's some nice eye candy for pilots-off the approach end of 22 are 2 old "connies" sitting in the field.
